Quest Board Wins!
After 5 days of voting the results are finally here. Quest Board add-on for Quest Journal is the plugin which will be developed this month. It’s exciting, Quest Board was a tie with the Farming add-on for a few days then quest board took the lead and stayed there. For more info about the features and how you can help support the plugin and make suggestions and receive early access through donations check out this blog post.

I'll be starting development shortly and will have some screenshots of the basics to get you guys motivated and more interested. I have a lot of work to do, including a ton of updates and this new plugin, so I'll be keeping you all updated throughout the next month. Cheers!

Hello @LTN Games,

I can't download the Quest Journal Editor. I mean, I can download fine but the file size is 3KB for x64 and 0KB for x32. Is this intended? Because I can't open them.

I don't seem to be having this problem. I did update the download links yesterday but again I can download the full .zip files and their size is about 31mb for window versions and 42mb for linux. I'll take a look into this further and keep you posted, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

It likely was on GitLad's side, because Azure servers went down yesterday. It worked today.

Yea it was on Gitlabs side, after Azure went down they had a storage failure causing my repo to be missing for a couple hours. It's good to go now though.

I downloaded LTN_QuestJournal version 1.2.1, and now it throws this error whenever I try to start a new game. (It loads up the title screen perfectly fine, but when I select "New Game" it throws the error.)
ltn_error_by_natfromgamefire-dbgkp8e.png

Turning off LTN_QuestJournal makes the error not appear, and turning off the plugins mentioned in the error log results in the same error being thrown, but other plugins being mentioned.
I went through LTN_QuestJournal and made sure each parameter was updated to use the new 1.5.0 parameter setups.

That has something to do with the x or y parameters for most likely the quest tracker window. It's an eval so the text you have in that parameter is causing it to throw an error.

My guess is the x param "left" just set it to 0. Even still that should not throw that specific error. I'll take a further look into this tomorrow but 0 should fix it for now.

Thanks for the support! Every bit helps a lot with development. At the moment I still have no prototype to show you guys but its comming soon I promise. I've been fairly busy with IRL stuff but I have some free time to catch up on lost time.

Also, not sure if anyone here seen this yet but here is some of the latest feature for my Layers plugin. Day and night synchronization, each time the phase changes the layer will run an eval giving you options to change opacity, the image, the blend mode etc.

This is actually incredibly cool for people into parallax mapping!

Hey everyone, I know I said I was going to have a decent prototype ready on the weekend and unfortunately I never got around to doing it. Today though, I bring you a minimal prototype of Quest Board, accessible to all supporters right now at the supporters lounge.

https://ltngames.net/supporter-lounge/
(If you have any issues regarding the supporters lounge, please contact me by email or directly in this thread.)

Although not much functionality has been completed there is enough for you to get a general idea of how things will work. I decided to release this early prototype so I can get feedback on the layout of the windows, The next prototype release will have much more features involved, including adding costs and requirements for each pinned quest. Stay tuned for more updates for Quest Board. And supporters, don't forget to check the Supporters Lounge for more frequent updates.

Hey, everyone, the weekend is here! Which means I have some extra time to work on Quest board and other plugin updates. I have uploaded a bunch of updates about 2 days ago and am just getting around to announcing it.

LTN Core
  • - Implemented new logger, which will be used in the future but for now nothing very noticeable
  • - Fixed a few inner mechanic bugs
  • - Added new PluginManager methods for converting parameters to ready to use an object with all converted types
Quest Journal
  • - Created Window_Base methods for general use across Quest Journal add-ons
  • - Fixed Icon alignment issue by adding a new parameter
  • - Fixed message codes breaking quest descriptions in the quest journal

Layers
  • - New Day And Night layers. Gives you the ability to change the layer when the time of day changes(See help file)
  • - New parameter for adding Day and night presets
  • - Rewrite LayersManager class
  • - Fixed bug limiting you to only 2 layers per map

Day And Night
  • - Fixed bug causing tints to not save and resets back to original tint upon loading.
All supporters now have access to a new plugin in development named Skip Video. This plugin gives the player the ability to skip a video played by RPG Maker. Without this plugin, playing a video in RPG Maker requires the player to watch the entire thing, with no option of pausing or skipping the video. With this plugin, you will have the choice to skip the video or pause it

Download the alpha version today in the Supporters Lounge

Stay tuned for more updates.

I updated to LTN_Layers version 1.2.0, but now the layers I had set up on the map (via map notetags) do not work. They don't appear.
I checked the help file, but the map notetag section hadn't changed.
It isn't just the one map either, it's all of the maps that have layers set in their notetags.
Hitting F8 does not show any errors in the console log.
Also, before I realized this problem existed, I had set the Day & Night Sync parameter to on, and tried adding a preset. When I tried to playtest the game, the layers didn't appear, so I turned off the Day & Night Sync parameter and removed the preset I'd created. The problem did not go away.

A bit too busy for game dev this week, so I'll just throw an old screen shot today: a glimpse at my battle sys. It's custom ATB. Have a nice weekend!

I finally beat Tears of the Kingdom! That was legit the best boss fight ever in the entire Zelda series. It has everything: skill, thrill, spectacle, chill,... EVERYTHING.
I have, once again, started something I'm not sure I can finish.

Here's a screenshot of my newest map. Take in consideration that I'm no mapper at all. :p
