Im using the Mac version of RPG Maker MV I downloaded from Steam and the Character Generator works fine when I use it.

The problem is I can't find the folder it's pulling the images from so I can add to the editor.

I've tried

 ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/RPG Maker MV/

and

 ~/Library/Application Support/RPG Maker MV/

and can't find it like other threads have suggested.

This is what I get. Am I missing something there?

Help please lol

RMMV
There was another topic about it, but I don't have it ready.

If I remember correctly it's the result of the difference how MacOS handles programs - what you see as the program icon on your screenshot is (like all MacOS programs) in reality an archive, and you have to open that archive to access the generator folder itself.

This "opening program as folder" is a regular but somewhat hidden function of MacOS - unfortunately the only Mac I can access is not at my home, so I can't check at the moment how that works.

Try pressing Command+Shift+G, then searching for ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/RPG Maker MV/RPG Maker MV.app/Contents/MacOS/Generator/

That should hopefully get you to the right spot!

It's pretty simple to find and you are on the right way.

Go on Steam -> Go to local data -> right click on rpgmaker and then select show packagecontent (or similiar, dunno how its called exactly in english). Then you will find the content of the rpg maker ;-) There you can add Data to the RTP and the Generatorparts.

Usually i would not recommend adding ressources on this way, since they will be included in every project.

If you want to add ressources to your spefic project simply go to the project folder and go for img

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
