Made mockups, wanted some thoughts.

I finally, finally got inspiration to actually continue my RPG Maker 2k3 ventures after two years of faffing about with things, and I'm getting things DONE. I got a title screen and various other doohickeys here and there, and although I didn't want to reveal too much right now, I had some more general ideas for this here I wanted opinions on.

Only two big ones right now, which are for the text boxes having full portraits rather than small photos representing them.
The small ones are still going to be used for the menus, but likely not for actual conversation.

The other one I wanted to share was this shop idea I had. It's not top-tier by any standard, but having the plain 2k3 menus for everything would be boring as heck, so I wanted my own spin on a few things. I'll still use the default menus for some things (as mentioned above) but having some new menus manually created like this would probably help it stick out a smidge.

Because of where the money window appears (top right for me... huh), I may need to swap where the shop-keep and the purchase options are when it comes time to actually create it.

Spoiler: A few small dumb doodles for an intro idea I also had.

I have ideas, but this one is kinda vauge, so don't worry about it.

The other thing I wanted to ask is if there's was a decent way or place to ask people for help, because although I can do everything myself (solo dev moment), my main issue will be keeping myself in check to actually keep working on things. I'd probably get distracted again and then proceed to mess about for another year or two and I really don't want to do that...

Oh yeah, and I only have default 2k3. I don't know how patching works whatsoever so if you're going to suggest something, just keep that in mind, please.

Everything, tbh. I've been a bit hard on myself over things ^^>
Drawing the portrait idea was fun, though. I really like that.

Pretty much errything looks good, I think! Shop mockup is totally ok, and I really really love the portrait style. Green Coat Person looks cool too, but I think their ears look a bit too much like sweat-drops or summat, at least in these sketches!

I ended up not drawing much today like I planned, but I drew a bit of the GAMING TRIO


Nah just messin' - I dunno what fir should wear yet, and also im lazy and dont wanna draw other pants rn. Note to self - Draw actual game design stuff tomorrow.

Having RGB for Shale, Fir, and Ash would make things visually interesting - Also having a trio rather than a quartet of characters for the party just feels right.
Three beans after my own mind because i really like the designs.
