Make a sound each time you take a step

As the title says, I need a script (or script call) to use a SE each time you take a step, the volume needs to be adjustable and it needs to be turned off if an event says so. Can anyone help out with this?

You could make a Paralell common Event with the following Eventcode:

Conditional Branch (Use the Scriptline inside the Command)

$game_player.moving?

if yes: do Sound effect and a Wait command. ( Not sure how long, maybe 20Frames?)

no else case

end

Wait 4 Frames.

This would be one aproach to solve it.

Modern Algebra's Terrain Features got the features you want.


Galv also made a similar script, but I forgot the name of it, sorry.


Neon Black got a script like that too, if my memory doesn't cheat me.

Would this be usable for two different tones, but alternate two different pairs of tones (four sounds in total), to create an abstract walking sound?  This is something I'm looking for myself that can swap the pairs of sounds in a loop.  Thanks
