I apologise if this is something easy that I'm missing, but I was wondering if there is a script (or any method) to make random encounters only happen on bush tiles, kind of like in Pokemon. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

a simple way to simulate this would be to set the random encounters to Region ID instead of the "whole map" and then use the Region tool to select those tiles manually.

If you want that automatically assigned to a tile ID, then you'll have to use scripts - I don't know if such a script exists, you might have to request it.

Thanks for your help! Using regions was quite easy and worked perfectly. I completely forgot it was a feature, and even that I didn't know that's what it did.

Region-IDs are basically a way to tell the program to differ between parts of the map.

In default this is mostly for the random encounters.

With eventing, you could check in parallel processes if the player is currently at a special position.

With scripting, you can use those IDs to trigger the scripts for a lot of different functons depending on the script - for example, there are scripts to block movement on Region IDs, to swap map structures defined by region IDs and more
