Im thinking of developing a game within rpg maker mv for fun in my spare time and it would be such a laborious
task to create a whole new set of graphics, besides the RTP graphics are incredible! I just wanted to get some
feedback from you rpg maker pros out there! (I have been using rpg maker since 95 days! But not very often.)
I am thinking, because im using the rtp with generated characters i need to make this game unique, the story
has to be hella good, but I also want a cheesy classical charm about it, also Im thinking about a simple to use
but incredibly dynamic crafting system, a bit like an advanced version of Rikku's "Mix" overdrive in FFX.
Additionally I like the idea of having no classes, and you learn certain skills, magic or the ability to equip items
from various sources like trainer npcs, books, crystals? Hehe, I can think for miles I can.(Not that much is any good).
Ive been playing around with the idea of dynamic converstations, where by a party member, if their personality dictates
can notice something different about you and bring it up in a converstion. For example, "Tifa" likes punching things, so
her personality set up might notice if the player has equipped a different pair of gloves, and she might be all like, "New gloves?
they certainly look good on you!"
I want the player to feel like he/she makes an impact of the world around them and the world notices them back, such
immersion is hard to find in games now days. Its a long road, all be it a fun one, but the real question is, would the fact
that Im using the RTP damage the credibility and/or likeability of my game?
Whew what torrent of text! Tell me what ya think?
