Is it possible to make a piece of equipment that restores HP or MP to the wearer at the start of a fight? Like through a common event linked to a variable that the gear provides, or through automatically using a skill on the wearer?

One possible way I can think of is to make a common event checking if any character is wearing that accessory or not. If yes, insert in HP/MP restore event and text to tell players what happened. Then go call that common event in every Troop's event pages.

I think there's a script from Yanfly that help you conveniently copy a page in one troop to every troops. Try searching for that.

Okay, thank you. I already have yanfly's script for that, I just wanted to check if there was a faster way. Thank you.

Okay I tried doing what you said but the in the common event, the conditional branching only let's me select one character each time. Is there a way to make it check for all actors?

I wish one could choose a variable instead of a specific actor, so that you can create a Loop, check the actor based on the current variable, then shift the variable up by one and leave conditionally if that variable passes the amount of actors you have. Otherwise, you're most likely to use a Script Call and do something like $game_party.alive_members.each do |member| member.hp += 20 if member has equipment.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
