Hello again,

Well I started making a new resoirce some hours ago, and well I keep running into a problem.  I made a new beard, but the final step I did was to make it in the right format for the side-view battlers, and well.. I didn't change the colour pallette or anything, it's as yellow as all the others in their base colouring.  It works fine on all the other figures, including the main face, but with those side view battlers it's still yellow, even though the hair on the head changes colour... Can anyone help please?

This is what I'm talking about:-
RPGmMV_port.jpg

I tried changing the png format to 8 bit pallated, and also tried it with and without transparency, all arriving at the same result.  I give up for tonight.

Did you change both files? there is a pXX_c.png file with exactly 2 colors and a _pXX.png with 6-7 colors. Both are 24bit color png.

I believe the _c file is the "color mask", like it changes the color in this file, and the solid-white in the file is the "mask" eg pixels to not change.

The pXX_c.png file was just copied from beard 1 because it doesn't need to change, so should change colour correctly I guessed? It's only the second file of the two for each beard style I made adapting the original full face moustache and beard, reshaping as appropriate and saving as a png with the correct name and all.

I don't understand why it's only those side-view images that wont work, but the others do, when I applied the same process to make sure they were colour legal and all that.

Make sure that the  pXX_c.png file has a white background. if the background is transparent, it wont work.

Thank you both for your responses.  I got a bit frustrated with it and just redid the whole sheet, and this time it worked. :)

It's a free resource so I'll post that after I wake up. I was supposed to be in bed about an hour ago but got a bit tied up with this problem.  Thanks once again :)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
