could you provide a version without the .rar extension, please?
Winrar is a free download you can find with Google. Even beyond rpg maker games, it's a handy program to have, as it also handles .zip files. It will let you get the game file from the .rar file.

Thanks for the interest!

Help below...thanks for playing.

The most commonly missed piece is inside the trading company hut on the floor. Let me know if that's not the one you were looking for....or if it was =)
Good luck and have fun.

Downloaded this game last night, I haven't gotten very far, but what I have seen impresses me. I can't review this from a designer's perspective, because honestly, I can't do 1/9 of what has been done in this game. However, as a harcore RPG Fan, this game is excellent. I love the storytelling, especially how you create the instant connection between the player and the main character. I would love to know which "sideview battle" script you used. I'm currently focused on storytelling and map mechanics at this point in my game's development, but I want to have a classic sideview ATB System. I will post more reviews as I get further in the game, very impressed and I don't foresee disappointment anytime soon.

@JBlackwell1989 - Hey, sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Thanks for playing Manifest and for the kind words. I hope you you enjoy the rest of it just as much. The battle system is Tankentai for VX with the ATB add-on. I found it over at rpgmakervx.net a few years ago. I'm not sure, but it's probably posted somewhere here as well. Thanks again for the feedback.

Game looks really interesting and I am eager to play it. Does the link give you an .exe file that can stand alone or one that must be played with an RM product?

Thanks for the interest. You won't need to own any of the rpgmaker products to play it, but you will need a program like winrar that can exract the .exe file from the .rar file that you get when you download it.

Thanks. Yeah, I have winrar. I will be buying RPG Maker VX Ace soon but in the meantime, I am trying to play as many games from people who seem to know what they are doing. I like the fact that this is a game 4 years in the making with 30+ hours of gameplay which obviously means you have a passion for it.

Great job making it so far, and thanks.

Help is in the spoiler below...

Each letter must be a 1 digit number, so start with the clue that tells you how I and E are related. There is only one possible solution for them. Once you have those two, you can plug in their values into the other equations to find the rest of the values.
Good luck

Thank you both very much for the great compliments. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed/are enjoying Manifest. I'd love to hear more of your thoughts as you progress further.

@BigDrew - were you able to finish that puzzle and complete the game?

I've been playing this since last week (currently trying to solve one of the devious ice boulder puzzles :p ) , and it's safe to say I haven't had this much fun with an RPG Maker game for a LONG time. I can feel the love and effort you put into it. Your characters are written really well, the puzzles and minigames are surprisingly well-done for an RM game, and I LOVE that there's so many hidden treasures to find. You really reward player exploration, and that's something I don't see too often these days.

My only gripe up to now would be the over-use of Final Fantasy music. Admittedly, it's good music, but some of the themes (like Aerith's Theme, for instance) are so iconic that they tend to break my immersion and remind me that I'm playing an RPG Maker game.

Apart from that, I'm having a blast. Manifest strikes me as a love letter to the classic SNES/PS1 RPGs of old, and is proof that it's possible make a lengthy, good-quality RM game without reinventing the wheel or adding umpteen bells and whistles.

@CredulousAlloy - Reading your post makes me happy. Thank you for playing Manifest and for taking the time to share your thoughts. In hindsight, I definitely agree with you about the music, and I have already made a point of avoiding a similar situation in the game I'm currently working on. If you ever have any questions about any of the puzzles, or just feel like making my day again, please do drop in and share =).

Hello! First things first, I would like to thank you for making an rpg that has me hooked. All the hidden parts force me to explore every single detail and every single break in between trees, rocks, or whatnot. The battles all seem to be of just the right difficulty as well (on normal difficulty! Can't imagine legendary as of now!). I attempt to solve every puzzle by myself, but they're very clever. How would I go about obtaining the seeds for Burke that the snapping turtles have? I've tried every elemental damage spell at my disposal and every status effect, but no luck. Thanks in advance, and thanks for the great game!

@ilovecats - thanks for playing manifest. You can use vellamik's burgle ability to get the seeds.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
