Hello Makers. o/

My Problem is, when I wanna make a Picture of my Map (for Parallax-Mapping), the Size of the saved Picture is just the Half of the Original.

For Example:
Map Size is 11x12 (528px x 576px)
Image Size is: 264px x 288px

How can I fix this? :LZYhuh:

Did you clicked on "actual size (1:1)" before making a screenshot?

I assume you are right-clicking on the map and chose Save as Image?

That's just the way it works. The image is half size.

If you want a full sized map, you can't do it that way. You will either have to use a plugin that lets you save the map image, or you'll have to go to the map layer in the editor (to remove the gridlines), view full size, then take snapshots and clip/paste them together manually. Both methods have their pros and cons.

Oh...right. Btw in MZ they changed it and it saves picture in 1:1 ratio.

@fizzly Yeah but I made it like @Shaz said. The Map is 1:1 but still Half-Sized when I save it as a Picture.

@Shaz I saw that it work like that in many YT Videos. But maybe they use the Plugin you have mentioned. Can you tell me pls which Plugin that is?

The Link for the Plugin isn't available anymore. -.-"
But I found it on another Site. Only I don't know how this works with this Plugin.

EDIT: I got it. The Plugin works now. Now I just have to test it with the Overlays and Parallax-Mapping.
Thank you guys! ^^

Just to add to that a bit, that is only the case if the map is not larger than 32 x 32, because the editor apparently can't output an image that is higher or wider than 1536 pixels. Once I learned this, I went ahead and ported Orange Mapshot to MZ.

As I don't know what other site you got it from, I'll go ahead and recommend that you grab it straight from Hudell's GitHub to be on the safe side. Usage instructions are already described in the thread that ShadowDragon linked to you, but I'll go ahead and quote the relevant part:

This is a very simple plugin. Just activate it on your plugin manager, set the keyCode param to the code of the key you want to use as a trigger (Default is printscreen - code 44), run the game and press the key when you want to take a mapshot.
So if you haven't changed any settings, just playtest your game and go to the map that you want to capture, and press the "Print Scrn" button on your keyboard. Off the top of my head, I don't remember whether or not the default setting will also include events in the image. You probably don't want to capture the events for parallax mapping, so if it's showing the events as well, you might want to go into the plugin settings and change that.

You are right. I got the Plugin from Hudell's GitHub and then I found a spanish Video on YT that explained the Plugin.

I changed the Key to 81 (Q) like the Video said and it worked for me. Now I have parallaxed my first Map and it worked totally fine for me.

The Plugin includes the Events, but it doesn't matter (for me) at the Moment. But thanks for the Note that I can change this in the Plugin.

Thanks for all your Help! ^^
