Visual Map Inventory (grid inventory)

This plugin is separated part from Alpha ABS plugin.

✅Features:

  • 25 items on page, support multi pages
  • Items separated on categories
  • From inventory you can Equip items or use it
  • You can drag inventory window by Mouse
  • Supports items description with escape characters
  • Chests and storages system (create visual chests, storable chests, typed chests, chests with random loot or player own storage) (PRO only)

I create a chest event, I leave an item but I don't know how to get it after closing the chest.

his coding is above advanced, its very hard to understand it.

I have PRO version. One of the best plugins I've seen for Rpg Maker MV.
Thank you very much.
Now it is perfect. The problem was the local switch that put in the event.
Now I just have to learn how to use the plugin command "MapUserChest".

Love the Pro plugin and glad I can support you. I ran into a few issues (which unfortunately i can't screenshot at the moment).

1.) When I used a consumable item (Health Potion in this case), I was able to use it from the inventory window even though I was at full health (this was prevented in the Item menu). I use Yanfly's Item Core and this glitch occurred with the plugin on and off.

2.) If I have the inventory window open and open a chest (showing its contents through this plugin) and I close the chest window, I am no longer able to reopen the chest and the items are lost. I'm sure there would be an event-sequence work-around, but maybe a way to see if there is still contents in the chest in case this happens accidentally during game play.

A feature I would love to see would be to show how the weapon and armor inventory would affect the player's stats or a similar equip window in similar style to the inventory window ('e' to open for example). I use a few custom plugins that allow the creation of custom stats. Something similar to this: https://endlessillusoft.com/eis-grid-inventory-beta/

Certainly no rush on this one, but I think it would be a great feature for ABS or any style of RPG.

Thanks much! I am still able to use this plugin and put stops in place for the time being to halt the glitches.

@dragonx777 for number 2, have you tried the Stored Chest instead of normal visual chest? It can stored items and the chest can be opened many times.

@artemisa it's a chest that can store player items. Player can store and take items from this chest (Like Minecraft chest). You can read more here :

How to set it up is the same as Visual Chest I believe.

Hello, @Zekken. Opening the chest window is no problem what it is not like storing items in that chest.

@artemisa I assume that you want to store your items in that chest, first open your 'map inventory' and then open the player chest. And then click on the item you want to store.

Note : you cannot store equipped item and key item

yeah. I tried that last night and it worked. I just have to be smart with the number of stored chests in my game to prevent a massive save file.

Amazing plugin, I (and I know many others) have been wanting something like this for a long time. One question: is it possible to change the limit of the number of items from 99 to 999?

Oh, I see. I didn't realize that it's RPG Maker itself that limits items at 99 (which is so freaking stupid), because I always used my own item system with variables.

EDIT: I didn't want to use Yanfly's gigantic plugin for this one little thing, so I just run this script on startup:

What are the terms for the commercial use?
I read that you use the ShareAlike license for it too, but here in the topic you don't mention it... so, sorry...:kaoswt2: it wasn't clear for me...

Worked on a cutscene skip domino effect using Maker Systems' script as the basis. Basically if I have a batch of cutscenes in a row on different maps, now when you skip one cutscene it will skip the entire set. No more spamming X to skip a scene every new map.

Oh and it will work regardless of where you do it from in the set. Convenient!
seems absolutely WILD to me now all the hundreds of hours of work I used to do in 2k(3) over a decade ago with a resolution of 320x240. that seems so insanely TINY now, seemed so normal at the time!
