Hello RPG Makers! I currently am stuck on the tutorial where you make your own in game map made by Echo607.
I followed the tutorial correctly up until she has you resize your mini map by x2 the size of your in game map.
Therefore: The mini map size she scaled from was x2. That is double the size of her in game map 140x140.
Although: My map is 286x286 so my paper mini map should when following proper instructions to Echo607 directions equal 512x512. That is again times 2 the size of the in game map you walk around in.
Further into this tutorial she has you set the mini map down to the lower left hand corner (leveling it up to the screen evenly so nothing is cut off.)
Conclusion: The problem I am have is that my mini map is too big and I want to make sure if I shrink it still correlates to the proper x and y coordinates of the player and map so nothing is cut off or unequal.
Final Question: What size should my mini map be if the size of my in game map is 256x256? That way its not too small but fits correctly with the x and y coordinates of the player and map.
Link to her video here----> I was hoping someone could maybe take a look at her tutorial and develop a working solution to the problem I am having, please and thankyou!
