Map Tile Priority

Hello there,


I just played around with some tileset edits and have now elements that are placed over 2 tiles in height, so I can place them in front of things.

It also allows me to walk in front and behind a certain object without getting a blocked tile.

My problem now is that my characters - since I marked the top tile of the object with the star icon in the tileset editor - have their head cut of when they walk in front of said objects.

Is there a way to get some more priority levels (as we had them in good old XP) or other fixes so that at least my characters - which are barely 2 tiles in height - won't get cut of? Maybe a plug-in that uses the ladder or bush attribute as other priority levels (since I never use those anyways).

We do have a script for this but it's not perfect and has some bugs. This is not exactly a 'bug' but a design decision in RM that is hard to workaround with. I would suggest putting the top half as same as characters (as events) since it's the best way right now than using the plugin. (I believe it's called Large Sprite Star Fix)

So, isn't this script for VXAce only? I can't seem to find an MV plug-in for it ;/

No it's in MV too. Check your DLC folder if you have it on steam or check your RPG Maker MV email and download the rest of the resources. It's under RMW Plugins. Alternatively look for Shaz's plugins since she took over it and tried to apply fixes herself.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
