Isn't it something to do with a tint? I think there is something in one of Luchi-Chan's tutorials about this, here is the link: Luchi-Chan's Lighting Tutorial

This is about lighting, but you can adjust it to tint blue!

There are also good graphical resources for underwater - buildings, artefacts, general objects.  Have a look through Granny's Lists for her underwater compilation.  It doesn't work just having water tiles and everything else normal, all the tiles need to give the right ambience.

If you want the player to look like he's underwater, then you have to work with tinting as far as I konw, or make entirely new resources in other colors.
If that didn't work for you, then probably you selected the wrong tint for your map - you have to experiment until you find the correct color settings.

There is no difference between VX and VXA as far as the tint screen command goes - the rest of the tutorial isn't needed for this, you just have to test and experiment until you find the settings for the tint screen command.

I believe I had waratina/waratona/(dear goodness I forgot thier name)'s fog script, but I think any fog script works...

Here I think this is the link I followed, many great suggestions for creating an underwater vibe.

Tinting + the use of watery-looking moving pictures/fog script are the best I've found.

Also when I was doing an underwater scene, I tinted the tile-sets I was using slightly blue, which is good because it avoids some weird color distortions done when you tint, and makes things more uniform.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
