Hello everyone,

When I started up RPG Maker MV this morning, about a third of my maps was suddenly gone.
However they don't seem to be completely deleted since "transfer player" events still know they exist and I can visit them when testing the game.

Has anyone had this issue before? Does anyone know how I could get them to show up in the editor?

Its an issue with 1.6.0 of MV. Downgrade to 1.5.2 or try the 1.6.1 beta.

I tried both of those and while one or two maps come back sometimes, they disappear the next time I open the program. Still thank you for trying to help!

that is because your mapinfo file is already damaged, you need to repair it (it will only be damaged when moving maps with 1.6.0, so you need to stay away from that).

Make a new project, add as many empty maps into it as you have in your project.
then copy the mapfile of that project into a copy of your real project (copy to prevent further damage in case this goes wrong).
You'll have to reorder the maps again, but they should not vanish again without the 1.6.0. bugs.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
