FOR VX ACE. First of all I am fairly new to RPG maker community. I don't have a completed game mostly due to my impatience with my graphics abilities and the engines resources. The engine is perfect in every way for my creating needs except for the resources. I am learning pixel art slowly. And learning how to use inkscape.. But I'm nowhere near skilled enough for the game I want to make. It is an ambitious first game.. I am going big or going home I suppose.
That being said, I'll get straight to the request.
I am requesting a full tileset that includes autotiles, environment tiles, and a sprite sheet for a specific race and the main characters. The theme is darkness. Not just black and miniscule darkness, but eerie, detailed, multi-shaded darkness. Blacks, greys, and shades of deep, rich colors. But if you have any color patterns in mind after going through this request, feel free to run with it.
TileSets
World Map Autotiles:
- I want the ground for my world map to look almost like scales. Like the surface you're walking on is the skin of a creature. Preferably black/grey tones with all of the details you might see on the skin of a reptile/wale/sea creature. (Shooooo shpeshific I know....)
- The mountains should look like extensions of the skin-like surface. And I'd like some to look something along the lines of plated-scales. Like biological armor.
- Trees? Well, the won't exactly be trees. More like growths coming from the surface in a subtle shape of a tree.
- As for cities/towns... There will be a factory, caves, and a castle protruding from the surface as flesh.
- Following the the skin-like path of the autotiles, I'd like the environment to look like you're walking on the surface of a scale-like creature.
- Cliffs of flesh, tiny craters of darkness, and the same growths that look like trees. But they're close up and highly detailed to look like extensions of the skin.
- There will be openings in the walls for dungeons and areas as well.
- Unique plant-life that grows out of the skin. Like barnacles growing off a wale. These can cluster around the trees, and grow along the walls of the cliffs/mountains. I want these to be in various colors, as they'll add a richness to the scenes.
- A large door made of flesh. As well as other smaller ones.
- The insides of the caves, castle, and factory will all be flesh based. Scaley, almost moist looking walls. Complete with stairs, flesh bridges, and subtle veins throughout.
- The factory will have an incubating room. So many beds made of flesh, and wall inlets for sprites to be able to lay/stand in.
- As for added details to the inside of places, I want them to look like the insides of a beast. Think Monstro from Kingdom Hearts, except much darker toned. A lot of random growths to make it look life-like.
- I would also like unique organs to be made. This need to be rather large. Rather fleshy, and rather odd to look at. A heart, and brain more specifically. All made in consideration of how the rest of the insides look. (Dark, veiny, fleshy)
- The created race will be beings of shadow. Think of how Vivi looked in FF9, but strip off the clothes, and have the shadow fully exposed. This will be a universal sprite for the entire race, as they don't differentiate in looks, other than perhaps a color tone change. I want the sprite to have large, sad, vacant looking eyes. Like there's hardly any cognition present.
- Directly adjacent to this race, I want a fully character who looks like the shadow creatures, but has very distinct differences. Maybe lighter toned, more aware looking eyes. He will be a playable character... If you think up something grand looking for him I will love you forever. As his psyche is close to my heart.
I will update these if anything else comes to mind and as the project progresses.
This is for quite a significant project. I have the story all mapped out. I just need the right artist to come along for the ride. I will keep the said individual up to date on the inner workings of the game, and I will give the artist that comes forward a run through of the story if they'd like. In a perfect world I'd love for this to be a commercial project. If the artist likes how his or her graphics are being utilized in the game, we can set up an agreement for payment if the game is successful. Clearly I am serious about developing this title, and I would like it if the artist was more of a partner rather than a resource.
Oh, I am Mat. (-_-') I uh, sort of want to develop games... erm. Yeah.
Here's my email: mathewmocpenner@gmail.com
We can set up a plan of action through email or on here if you'd like. Though, I'd like to keep the art on the down low until things are far enough along.
THANK YOU to whoever reads and responds. Have a wonderful day.
