Trainers every day set forth to be the best. Becoming a Master Trainer is the dream of children, teens, and adults alike across the globe, but it is no easy task. In the distant island continent of Crescent Isle, Pokemon are everywhere. I truly is a trainer paradise. Novices and Masters alike flock to the island every day to further their skills. With your travel visa in hand, and a dream carried in your heart, your journey to becoming a Pokemon Master is soon to unfold. But with twists around every corner, and a darkness secretly looming over the streets, how will your story be told? Pokemon Master Chronicles will take you to new lands in the Pokemon World. While familiar in feel, this isn't the Pokemon game you see every day. Master Chronicles places you directly into a living, breathing world where trainers flourish, Pokemon are abundant, and exploring is a popular hobby. Go in to the open world environments of Crescent Isle, a continent completely separated from the main series regions. Meet tons of new trainers, all of which are carrying on with their own goals (which means that just because you met someone on a route doesn't mean you will always find them there, they have lives too). Experience multiple player-driven storylines that help shape the feel of Crescent Isle, the stories molding around the choices you make during your adventure. Find hundreds of different Pokemon as you explore the nooks and crannies of the map during your explorations, finding new and exciting things as you go such as deserted ruins, a bustling casino, an ancient labyrinth, a mysterious abandoned monastery, and much, much more! This isn't the Pokemon you grew up on... This is Master Chronicles. RECRUITMENT DRIVE Master Chronicles is just getting into the early development phase. As you may tell, this is a rather large project, one that will involve a great deal of work and time. While I am very used to taking on large projects from time to time, it always helps to have more than one person working towards the same goal. Not only can more people work harder as a group, getting it done quicker, it also just helps to have people to bounce ideas off of, get feedback from, and sometimes just to help keep company during the long hours. What I come before you now for is similar to what I stated, I would like put it out there that I would be glad to accept and and all help on this project. And while I will accept any help given, there are a few different 'positions' I would like to try and fill if I could. Below, I will list some different jobs I could use help with, each given a rating based on how important at this time that it is (1 being not important, 10 being the most important). Feel free to offer a hand, but know that some positions have requirements before I will accept. But on to the list. Basic Graphic Artists - Important (8/10) Description - I need people who knows their way around a graphic program like GIMP, PaintNet, or photoshop at least enough to place single tiles into a tilesheet. Must have a basic knowledge of how said tiles line-up as well (we dont want buildings and stuff to collide in-game too much). I could use more than one in this category. The more, the merrier really! Story Designers - Moderately Important (6-7/20) Description - These are the ones who sit down with me and just work out stories. Be it working on the main storyline, or putting together and elaborate side-quest, a good story is always important. No major requirements here, just dont expect to keep the position if you either A) Dont contribute during team discussions on the matter, and you consistently shoot down other ideas if they aren't your own. I could use more than one here as well. Advanced Artists - Less Important Currently (4-5/10 at this time)(Subject to change) Description - This is the big time here. What fall under this category are people who can make new tiles (even if old tiles are recycled for it), can make new character sprites, and so on. We aren't looking to making you paint the Mona Lisa brushstroke by brushstroke, I would just really love to have more custom content for the game. Every little bit helps. Scripter - Moderately Important (6-8) Need to have knowlege and experience with RGSS (RGSS1 to be exact, rpg maker xp is the engine being used). The system is already developed, and many extras are already in place. What I need is some editing of existing scripts, some additions to existing scripts, and a few new systems to compliment systems already in place. I'm not looking to have a Scripter write massive, complicated systems; I just need smaller, more numerous additions to what is there. Mappers - optional I won't be taking a ton of mappers, simply because we don't need too much conflicting map styles. But those who apply MUST have an idea on how to go about mapping in the pokemon style. Pokemon games have their maps with very specific layouts, and that style is to be replicated here. If you are to apply, you must own rpg maker xp, and you must show off an example map of what you can do (just use whatever tiles). If you do not own xp and would still like to apply, we may be able to work something out and still let you help. This will be on a case by case basis. More Jobs to Come! Feel free to mention her that you would like to help, and what you are good at, and I will find a way that you can be art of the team. Well, that is it for today everyone! i hope to be able to bring you all good news soon on game progress, so look forward to that! You all have a wonderful day and a terrific week!
