Question: how did you do the black sides? That look like a picture overlay, not an autotile, right?

You are correct, that is an overlay.

It is very easy to make such an effect in GIMP/Photoshop, just use one of the brushes that has very soft edges and set the size to around 200 and just draw over the areas you want dark.

Thanks for the info. I decided to make an 8-directional autotile to mimic the effect as good as possible (based on the normal 4-directional autotile already part of the set). It looks good. custom overlays for each map would be to resource heavy for my game i think.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
