Thanks for everyone that reviewed my works. Thanks for helping me spot my mistake or my plus. Because this is melody mapping, what I did first is listen to all sounds/music from every DLC or pack that I had, after that I need to search which tileset that can match each other. finally, I found your tileset, @Boldpaste2, that match to @Brogrammer 's music.

Thank you everyone for your reviews, critiques, and praise. I rarely do mapping, so it took me quite a bit to create this map as well as many I had seen. I had scrapped 3 ideas, 5 maps, and did alooooot of checking around for appropriate tiles. I've had to wrestle with movement problems, and finagle with eventing so the images would layer correctly. All in all, it's been an enlightening experience and has taught me one thing!...

.

.

.

When I make a game, I'm hiring someone else for mapping!

XD
I used to be absolutely horrible at mapping but then I had a friend from the forums train me in the art of parallax mapping and texture mapping. To this day, I still barley know how to use the map editor because I don't use it at all. You just need to find a style that works best for you and than build on it.

Here is a screenshot of my map editor.

Firstly, let me say that you have all raised the bar and made it near impossible for our judges to choose the winners. There were so many amazing maps and fabulous music choices. You should all feel incredibly proud of your efforts and for producing something that had the judges wanting to see more.

Now for the winners:

Third place was a tie! We simply could not decide, so the winners are:

MatseBand

Grimmjow
Second place:

Goldstorm and Ms Littlefish
Grand winner:

Chaos17
Winners, please contact me via pm for your prizes.

To read more about our judges' impressions, check out the blog post.

So many of your entries left an impression with the judges - from the chilling story in Lethe's Fate by Dimitris, to the unique setting of TheoAllen's volcanic dragon cave and the melancholy feeling of BoldPaste2's train - we thoroughly enjoyed going through each map. We encourage you all to keep going and to keep showing us all what RPG Maker is capable of. We hope to see an entry or two make it into a game. There was certainly enough potential in all of them.

If there's one constructive piece of advice to offer, it would be to be mindful of screen tints. There were a few entries that one of our judges found very difficult to play because they were too dark.

Congratulations to the winners, those maps were all great.

I kind of knew I was never going to win but I'm glad I entered anyway, getting feedback and seeing everyone else's maps has given me loads of ideas for future projects.

Words cannot describe how excited I am! I've been really going on a rampage to improve my mapping and this was a huge boost. Congratulations to all the other winners and a big high five for everyone who entered. I played all the entries and if I were judging it would have been an incredibly difficult decision.

Congrats to the winners.

I knew when I uploaded I didn't stand a chance - but anything that gets me off my rear and back to mapping and writing helps. :3

Thank you everybody :D

I've to specially thanks Lunarea for her cute Arabian tilesets.

It has been a while that I wanted to use it but I never had the opportunity.

So I'm happy, that I was finally be able to use it.

I've also to thanks Scythuz for his music, I was really desperate to find an arabian music for my map.

Then the miracle happened, I found his music and it fitted well the map.

I'm sorry for the bug you saw with the npc changing into another but it was too late to change it after someone reported it here.

I struggled a lot with this map because it was my first time to work with animated tilesets.

I had to build the parallax around the tilesets wich wasn't easy since I had to switch frequently between Rpg maker and Photoshop.

I also had a problem with Yami overlay script that I coudn't make it work so I had to use picture instead wich is why the trees are transparent where the animated tile go behind it. The map is not perfect but I'm happy that my work pleased people.

Thank you again and have a nice day. ;)
