I know nothing about Ruby so I don't know how easy this is to do but what I need to do is add a new option in the Main Menu when you first start the game, just a button that comes below New Game and Continue which when pressed opens up a box for displaying text. I want this to be able to add change notes for different versions of game demos.

Any idea how this would be done?

Just add a command to the Scene_Tile / Window_TitleMenu or is it TitleCommand whatever

btw, rather than a text box, I suggest using one the scripts here that shows some game info at the bottom of the title screen...

Also, I don't know anything about how to use Ruby, so how to I change the script here to add the option, and then make it display a textbox and text?

You will need someone to write the scene and window for you, as well as the mods to the title screen (which is not the menu).

"Showing text" as you do in-game only works when you're IN a game. When you're on the title screen or in the menu, that command is not available, so anything shown has to be fully done through scripts. Or you could make it a common event that uses the Show Text command within a game, and add a command to the game menu rather than the title screen that will turn on a switch to make the common event run. Easier to do, but not as nice though.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
