This has been an issue since day one of rmxp being out, but I just realized that someone here may have found a fix. In RMXP, the message box in the editor is too small to write full messages in. It only has three lines, and barely enough room for text codes. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? Thank you ahead of time.

You can use the Batch text entry option. The only downside is that it's hard to edit the fourth line afterwards.
Or ccoa's UMS has an option to include as many lines as you want into a window.

Yeah, that was my issue. I've tried that, but it's a huge pain when editing later, or when you realize you have to change how a scene flows. I did use another program* back in the day that let me inject text into an event, but it was just as awkward (but at least easier to use).

Well, that sounds simple enough, I could just drop it down to 3 lines, it would probably look fine in game. Do you have a link?

Thanks for the link! This actually looks very nice, it can do quite a few things (it even talks about this bug and how to get around it).

I put that there because it shouldn't be discussed on these boards. I'm not certain using it is legal even if you own XP.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
