SO I got much better in my detail on colouring however I still cant replicate my traditional style on to a digital canvas. ;-; Darn you delicate lines!!

I was just fooling around and was like, eh might as well do something cartoony for once. And drew my OC Qadira.

I'm still undecided on the anatomy I want to choose But I'm overall satisfied with it.

So what do you think of this style? Should I continue it? Continue working on it? Unorignal/generic? ETC~

Looks pretty good, except there is something weird about the bottoms of her shoes.

I like that! Really love the colour choices, although I'm biased because I like purple. Is it me or does the skin tone of her legs not match her midriff?

I also agree with Cadh20000 about the soles. Definitely continue this style! :)

Overall the style is very cute! If a bit rough and showing signs of being something 'new' you're experimenting with at the moment. There's nothing that I'd particularly change about the style - it's little things that are going to grow with time. (like one eye being smaller than the other, the balance on the lengths of the two parts of the legs seeming awkward, and the shape of the fingers seems off, and like Cadh20000 said the bottom of the shoes are very... strange. I just think they aren't on the right angle.)

The shading is very nice (love the blending on the knees) and the colour choices are appealing~ Some parts in the shading (the sleeves) seem to confuse the overall lightsource - but this is nitpicking. xD The gold looks beautiful and I love the hair and the skin. I think it's certainly a style worth spending some time with if you had fun drawing it. Generic and Unoriginal - I can't say for sure or not on that; it reminds me of something I can't quite place, but your own personality will grow into a style overtime. So I don't think it's something to worry about too much.

Anyway, overall! Very nice. I'd love to see what else you draw going forward.

The style itself?  I like it.  It's cute and interesting and isn't too simple.  The only thing I would change is adding more dynamic line weight to the eyes, it looks like it was done with a circle tool.

I'm not an artist so take this for what it's worth - overall, I really like the style, but there is something about the outline that bothers me. I think it's that around the head there is such a big contrast in colors that it really seems to stand out to me more than I feel that it should. But I do think it's a really cute drawing and as Makio said, if you had fun with it, keep pursuing it.

I was going to mention line width, but there actually are a lot of areas where there is variation in the line width. I feel like that's a thing that an artist grows more comfortable with with time. Talking about the lines, seeing some of the coloured lines carried into more areas of the image would be nice too. You've got some on the hair, but the gold could REALLY benefit from that a lot~~

I love making cartoony stuff myself so if its something you feel is fun for you to make go for it; no complaints on the style, although I think over all other people do prefer a more manga/realistic type of style for their games.

I particularly love the glittery shine you got in the gold parts, really detailed. As far as other things; the shoes/feet are off with the perspective/angle; we shouldn't see that much of the sole from the angle of the drawing. That eyebrow on the figures left eye doesn't make sense; it can be seen through the hair and looks as if it is either; a-on top of her headband or b-below her headband, neither of which are physically possible.

Alright everyone, thank you the criticisms. I can see the points and errors that you all pointed out and I will of course focus on those!

Like I said this is basically the first time trying out this style so a lot may change. But I'm glad to see eveyone likes it.

^-^

I don't want to beat the dead horse but honestly the only thing I see that needs improvement is your perspective and angles. I absolutely love your shading technique and the shine in the gold. Also, and it may just be the watermark messing with me, but in places it seems like you lose your sense of light source? For the most part it looks like the light is coming from the top left of the picture, but certain shadows like on her skirt, soles, and her headpiece suggest otherwise. Nothing a little practice won't fix, though. Overall very nice!!

It's very cute, but you can tell it's still in its "developing" stages as a style. Some of that corrects itself just by getting more used to it.

One other little thing I noticed... the ankles are very slim, but the wrists are shown as the widest part of the arm. If it were my design I'd try to make that more consistent, either thinner wrists or thicker ankles. To a lesser extent, the hands vs foot size as well.

The more consistent you make the style, the more appealing and "finished" it will look.

The overall styling of the character is lovely and eye appealing, a few things to point out.

1. The knees are placed a little high in proportion, just looked at my own legs and my knees are placed half way between the hip and the top of my feet. Just a tad lower on both legs. :)

2. The soles on the shoes aren't in proportion with the ankle angle, where her feet are aligned, the soles look really deep on the right side of the shoes, if she steps on the ground it looks like she'll be lop sided heavily.

3. The wrist is exactly the same width as the bottom of the hand, wrists are the thinnest part of the arm on the human body, the arm gradually gets wider from the wrist up until the top of the arm. :)

4. This is miniature, but add some shadows on the bottom of her hair and where her hair covers up light rays reaching the top of her clothing.

Hope this helps. ^_^

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
