Was thinking it would be a good idea to port a little project of mine from Ace to MV just to see if much has changed.
So while eventing some troops for a more cinematic feel of the battle I found out that an option to select "Entire troop" in "Show Battle Animation" event was missing, that is, I could only display the animation on a specific enemy and NOT on the entire screen:

So this is a rather big thing not be there (for me, at least), as having to play animation directly on the enemy will not be possible if the enemy is already defeated. It is very strange to have something like this removed, is there any specific reason it is missing? Hopefully it will be fixed.
Another major thing is incredible lag while having 8 enemies on screen. Now, at the moment I'm not running MV on some powerhouse computer, but I recreated the exact battle as I previously made (front view and everything) it in Ace and in there it runs flawlessly without any lag whatsoever. For example: during the battle Wait function in between two messages lasts at least twice as long in MV than Ace (I'm aware that many are experiencing lag so I'm guessing it's being looked in to).
Although a very minor thing, just thought I should mention: during the battle, the message box with actor's data will also constantly show up again, and again in between the messages shown from within the troop events, which was something that was not happening in the ace (this however might me done on purpose, still it is bothersome and unnecessary).
Anyways, thanks to RPGMaker team for all their hard work, and hopefully they will add the missing function mentioned above and fix the lag. Other than that I'm more or less satisfied with my purchase.
