If WoW didn't need a subscription, I'd play it for sure... It simply looks far more awesome than other MMOs

Final Fantasy 14 is what I've been sucked into recently. The new expansion is coming out fairly soon and I'm pretty excited for that.

Before 14, I've played a bunch (WoW, FFXI, DDO, Neverwinter, Dragon's Nest, Guild Wars 1 and 2). The one that ate up the most of my time however was Maplestory. Those were dark times, but now I'm playing better quality drugs instead of bargain bin drugs.

Edit: Thinking about it more, Dragon's Nest was probably the most fun I've ever had in an MMO. Stopped playing though because my friends moved on to other multiplayer games. So that would be my most enjoyed. :)

Mabinogi kept me interested quite some time, until I got bored because I have to update it every time I want to play (which happens each 6 months or so). I can't play MMOs while on college! My career doesn't permits people to have life!

I sometimes play TERA too, but it's the same.

And a game I fricking LOVED and was really interested in playing was Shin Megami Tensei Imagine. Sadly, the English servers closed, so now I have to play in Japanese "orz. And did I mention I know close to zero of Japanese? Maaaaaannnnnnnnhnhnhnnhhh!!!

Another game I was interested was Dream of Mirror Online. I don't know why x'D. Maybe it was just because I played a beta one day, then it dissapeared. And when that happens, you feel you're missing something.

WoW for sure. Just need to eat up the sign up fee though.

Archage was really good until the hackers raped that game to death and the devs only banned them for 24 hours....Then when everyone started to leave the game they cut down server size to make it look like people still played the game.

Bunch of scumbags.

I played that for a few days, got boring quick, it had some interesting ideas, though.

Have you ever play a MMO that didn't have any interesting ideas? Sad when ESO online makes you pay out the #$%^ for a mount and Archage gives you MANY for free and even lets your friends ride them, but yea they got hacked....then hacked again....

In the sense of ideas that are interesting to me, yeah, plenty, most MMOs that have been released are poorly thought out WoW clones (which is itself an Everquest clone that brought few original ideas to the table), that trend is changing but that doesn't change what has been released in the past. And as I don't like WoW a bad WoW clone (which can be spotted a mile away) has nothing for me. LoTR Online is the only themepark MMO that is worth while in my book. Though if there is a free trial (or if they are free to play) I give even the ones I think will be bad a shot, but usually they are what they appear to be.

Generic classes, worthless crafting system, and boring quests can sum up most MMO's ever made.

I enjoy MMO and idea to start a new character in a new one makes me exiting!  However, the only thing which I do in fact is checking videos of new ones, man, they take a lot of time! The last MMO I played was FFXI. In contrast to all other MMO it has very slow and boring start, but (as I heard) it becomes very interesting when you are high level, opens up new opportunities. I was able to play for a month and half, had some characters up to 35 level and then decided to leave it due to lack of time. RPG making takes it all now :rock-left:

The only MMO I really enjoy is The Secret World. Buy it, play it, no subscription fees, and a really unique setting, essentially modern HP Lovecraft with several different warring factions.

Played a lot of Ragnarok Online and World of Warcraft. Played both for years. Assassin was always my favorite in RO...and with a Tao Gunka card I could stand against the best crusader on the server hehe. Emperium breaker assassin...take that damn crystal out in under 8 seconds! I did progression raiding in WoW during WotLK. 2nd best pve hunter on Bleeding Hollow for a while :p had a prot warrior and disc priest as backup characters. Our 10man had 7 bosses down the first week of Ulduar, so we were pretty good(also, our 25man took down Illidan and Archimonde before Wrath too!) :p Tried playing again recently and couldn't have any fun, so I quit and decided I'll make games instead :D I also tried the newest Final Fantasy mmo and it was full of weirdos, didn't even play it a week.

I would have to say Diablo 2 is my favorite, with Diablo 3 as a close second.

I played WoW for a lot of years. Back in the days of The Burnig Crusade it was one of the most epic MMOs of all time. ( I also think TBC is the best expansion )

I think it was awesome because you felt this huge world alive, with a lot of things to do. At least it was like that for me.

I still have hard times finding a mmo that gives me this immersion in a world. ( I really like to explore u.u )

Anyway I also liked Age of Wushu ( I love it because it has an oriental setting ), Vindictus ( oh god, that battle system was divine. Every MMORPG should have that battle system. ), Blade & Souls, because it was badass.

Well I played a lot of mmorpgs and the list could go on and on so I'll stop here ahah xD

And I'm waiting for: Moonlight Blade and Revelation Online. ( They are sooo good looking. I love Asian settings. )

I loved The Secret World... last year.

And I love MMOs in general, but those who are just hard-core players would ask me why I'm building my equipment and tell me to stop playing. That's why I stopped playing TSW, and maybe a couple other MMOs that I can't think of.

I am playing WAKFU now (currently my favorite), and my first and ultra favorite would be Puzzle Pirates for the community that used to be there :p

Does PSO2 (Phantasy Star Online 2) count as an MMO? I just picked that game back up, it's most it's certainly a top favorite game for me.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine. It's a very good game even if you're not fans of the SMT series.

Though currently you can only play it in Japanese.

I'm also not ashamed to say that I play Digimon Master Online.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
