Vlue has a pop-up script (found here) where the pop-up message is set to X number of frames. The default is 180.

However, whatever number it is set to, I'm sure that it will be irritatingly too fast or irritatingly too slow for different players.

I was wondering if it would be possible to mod it so that instead of the pop-up message ending after a set number of frames, it acted more like an ordinary message box and disappeared when the player uses the action button/mouse click.

Thank you.

I'm on mobile so I can't test, but try:
Code:
class Popup_Window < Window_Base
alias amn_popupwind_update update
def update
super
close if Input.trigger?(:C)
end
end

You could also probably have both options in there and just set the number to a really high value like 6000.
So it will eventually close but the player can do it faster.
You would have to test it to see if that works.
Code:
  def update
    super
    close if Input.trigger?(:C)
    @timer -= 1
    close if @timer == 0
  end

@Roninator2 Sadly with this addition the popup appears for such a brief time it doesn't even finish appearing before it vanishes again. That is even when the frames are set to 6000.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
