Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I can't find a list of all moderators, global moderators and what forums they cover.

The site rules state that if I think a topic was closed in error, to contact the global moderator of that forum. I can't find that information, so I have no idea who to contact.

In the weird case that this page doesn't exist, or the information isn't stored anywhere, the forum I'm looking for the global moderator to is the Game Mechanics Design forum.

Thanks in advance,

-Ramza

It's at the top under the browse tab then the staff section.  It's more than a little bit out of date now but, if you mouse over people's names you can see what title they have.  It doesn't seem to show who moderates what anymore since the site upgrade, so your best bet would be contact a global moderator or admin about your problem.

I found that page, but with no mention of who does what, I still have no idea who to contact. Add to that, the fact that half of the global moderators I've found from that page haven't visited the site in months, and I'm even more confused about who to contact. I'll see who I can bother with this though. Thanks.

Try Celianna or Lunarea maybe? At the very least, the person you contact should be able to point you in the right direction  :)

Global moderators moderate ALL forums.  There is no such thing as a global moderator of a forum.

Who is the moderator who closed the thread?  They would definitely have the right access to reopen it.

However, I've seen the thread you're talking about.  It definitely does not belong in Game Mechanics Discussion.  The forum rules also state that if you disagree with a moderator's decision, you need to contact someone at the next level up.  In this case it would be any of the global mods or admins.  But they will not reverse that decision.

It was ksjp17, and I sent him a PM a little over an hour ago with no response. Celianna has advised that the topic probably should have been in the resource workshop forum, which I still don't entirely agree with, but if two people say that's the way it is, it must be correct.

My main concern is that as I'm technically not doing anything with resources, my topic wouldn't seem to fit in the resource workshop forum either. Guess I'll find out soon.

Basically, if a forum has a special moderator then that moderator is named in the rule topic inside the forum - for example there are several forums where Archeia has the final say on approval.

If it doesn't have any names listed on the subforum's rule topic, then all moderators can handle that - but again there are some cases where specific moderators rarely work because they're lacking the knowledge to judge something. For example I have little experience on graphics and absolutely none on audio production, so I rarely moderate in the resource sections (only if the problem is really obvious).

Actually, I think MV Resources would be the best place for it, as you had it written before, so I'll just say:

If you are simply releasing states that you choose to make, put it in MV Resources.

If say, you will mainly be making states of your choice, but might entertain the idea of taking suggestions from the community, then also post in MV Resources.

If you are going to be accepting and fulfilling requests from the community, then it would go into Workshops.

Edit: I see you posted in workshops, and the way you set it up, looks good. :)

That makes sense too.

The issue here is that my topic sorta fits into several forums, but as you describe, it sounds like it actually would belong in the MV Resources forum.

(sidenote: if this is the case can someone PLEASE move my new topic to the correct forum, I don't want to have to spend even more time remaking it a second time)

I edited my previous post as you were posting as. The way you have it set up, it looks great where it is. And while yes, a bit different from most "resource" workshops, I think it's the best place. We've had other not-so-conventional workshops in there such as writing workshops, dialog workshops, proofreading workshops, etc.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
