So as my game is 1080p, I've been having an issue with various scripts being obviously meant for much smaller screens so I when I used

the Alternate Menu by Yoji Ojima I ended up getting this:

And well, obviously it doesn't look good.

So I went into the code itself and using some knowledge from Game Maker scripting (and the code already there), changed it to look like this:

Is this okay if I credit that the code is from Yoji Ojima? Or should I just scrap it all together?

credit should be always given to the original author of the plugin even if you edit the script

Oh I understand that. I just mean that... Like is even modifying it like that even allowed?

Just don't want to get in trouble. :(

I would say it is reasonable to edit if you say "original by X" and "edited by X".

It depends on the author - some people allow edits, others don't.

If the author allows edits of the script, then you need to check if there are conditions on the edits and follow the terms-of-service

Hm... Well I just realized Yoji Ojima created RPG Maker... The code itself doesn't mention the go ahead to edit or not.

I mean the Kadokawa Plugins are sort of the official plugins, right?
