Hello Guys.

This script use an image just like this:

ActionNameA.png

To create a Layout for draw the action on battle.
The image is divided in 3. The first part is the opening of the layout, the second is the closing and the third is the looped image = the size text of skill/items etc.

I need to find the code part that define "How long it must be" the looped part, because i want to add more space AFTER and BEFORE the name, so increase the length of the loop part more.

Stupid example for explain better:

If you attach the three image of the first row, you don't have much space.

But if the looped part is increased to right and left, the text have more space AFTER and BEFORE the opening/closing.


I tried to do some stuff, adding numbers but... i give up, i need your help!

I would try increasing the value on line 285 where it sets the width that needs to be drawn = Moghunter.skillName_x. Add a value at the end of that line, see what happens.

Are you speaking about this line? If i add a number after Moghunter.SkillName_X, the X of the entire layout move to right or to left, with the name of the skill.

Nothing... i tried to change it adding 300


var textsize = ((text.length * 7) + this._nameData[0] + 300);

i tried even multiply text.length *100 in this way:

var textsize = ((text.length * 100) + this._nameData[0]);


In this line, it doesn't change anything :(

You're not asking something trivial. MOGHunter plugins are a lot of code with no useful English comments and often unhelpful variable names.

And they require the setting up of extra files, so it's not a piece of cake to just stick it into a demo project and test things for you.

The code itself is not easy to follow - without any documentation/comments, there are places where the size of the layout image appears to be defined as 3, and others where it supports a variable length but I can't see where it's changed.

I would guess that for how long this thread has been open, you could've just whipped up a template in an image editor, typed the names of your skills on top of it, and be using an event command or plugin to display those images :stickytongue:

I understand, but i don't think that nobody can really understand the code... we have a lot of great programmers.

another way you can try is to edit the image, while it is divide by 3,
you can extend the image sides (width) with + 50, andextend that.

if you dont know how to do that, I can make a quick edit for you to
test out, this gives you more space on the sides.

EDIT:
I made the edit quickly with increase of 28 pixels (100), default is 72,
so this should work.

there are parts that have "this._image..." if you search on ActionNameA,
than "this._image.." in front of it is called on 5 places, but none to change
the width, so it's done probably by the image itself.

Yeah, i know how to edit it! Thank you so much for your explanation, so basically i must increase the image, i understand!!! Basically i will increase the width of the image, but the first and the second part will remain in the same way, and i will increase only the third! Thank you so much!
