I make the charge attack as a magic attack
the problem is :
when MP is not enough,
it will keep the input forever when the button released
se plays non-stoppable and CT bar remains flashing
any ideas about how to block this situation?

I could be wrong but wouldn't you set the tool for that with a condition that if mp is to low it will only send message not enough mp and end the condition with no attack?

I have tried this before, but it cannot be controlled by conditional branch....
a checking will perform and shows that message
but the skill cannot be block....

On phone, but the easiest workaround is to turn your charge attack into two tool events.

Event A is the effect you want to happen. It is not set as a charge attack, it's just hanging out on the tool map as a normal tool event does.

Event B is set as the 'charge' attack, but it is a placeholder. It is invisible and does no damage. In the move route is an if statement, where it checks to see if the caster's MP is sufficient
You'll be checking something like "this.user().battler().whateversubheadingisCurrentMP"

if true, then fire off this.user().act(whateverskillA'snumberis)
if false, you instead call the cancel sound, and maybe make a puff of smoke come out.

Haven't tested, should work.

Having tested it, there's a mroe straightforward way of doing things. Just put these two commands in the moveroute of your dummy skill




Since charge attacks are going to be done only by the player character, we don't have to fiddle around with figuring out who is casting the skill in order to deduct mp from the right person, we can just say it's the player using it.

As for the dummy skill itself, this is what I used


and I changed it to be the target of the charge attack here
