Description of the Feature:
We would have 15 tabs: A1 - A5 would each get its own tab, plus we would have tabs B - K, M and R. In addition, we would have 100 rows instead of the current 32 rows. Thank you very much!

  • Each tab would have 100 rows for more images.
  • Tab A1 would have the animated features.
  • Tab A2 would have the Ground features, and would also have 32 rows.
  • Tab A3 would have Buildings.
  • Tab A4 would have walls, and A5 would be "Normal".
  • Tabs B - E would operate like they do now.
  • Tabs F - K would operate like tab E.
  • Tab M would be the feature someone else requested. (Fine if this isn't possible)
  • Tab R would function as it does now.

Code for Implementation:
Sorry, I have no coding for you.

Mockups:
See screenshots below. Note that I'd use scrolling to access the other tabs. However, I am willing to use whatever you give me to access the other tabs.

Why is this feature good?
This feature is great because of the following:
  • Your game engine would defeat the competitors without a contest because we could be more detailed and varied in our games.
  • Better organization of our images.
  • This would reduce the size of games because the alternative, uses character folder which uses way too much space.
  • Faking animation causes the game to be so slow, that its almost unplayable.
  • We need buildings that reflect the glorious Japanese Culture, as well as the European Culture and the culture of the Alien planet. We can't do justice without more space for buildings and walls.
  • Impossible to even attempt to have shopping all over Ginza stores while a Martial Arts war ensues due to lack of space for images, and a lack of tabs.
  • We could create battle games that include good, puzzle games as well.
  • This feature would help us create a more detailed game that will have longer play value.

Possible issues with this feature?
Issues that might arise from this feature:
  • None that I can see .

Moderator: Please fix this as evil Chrome is not allowing me to edit this due to "unusual code" it thinks exist! I need the poll option you want on this. Thanks!

This is a very, very bad idea due to its disadvantages.

There are lots of reasons why we tell people to use different tilesets for different maps.
First, the entire tileset for a map needs to be loaded into memory for the map to work, even if a tile isn't used in that map. And there is only limited memory available, especially on mobile devices.
A tileset the size you're proposing will never be able to work in mobile devices, so your idea will effectively destroy the export option to Android and iOS.

Additionally, the storage size for the maps will increase. Each position in a map needs to store the number of the tiles placed there, and the size of that storage depends in the highest number possible, not the highest used. With several thousand possible tiles the storage requirement there will also go up a lot.

And there are other disadvantages as well...

Your reasoning is exactly why we need more maps. ;) I would be happy with even just two more tabs, and we ignore the M tab. I just added the M tab because someone else needed it. Thanks!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
