More than 10 buttons

So when you push F1 while playtesting in VX Ace, you're allowed to set bindings for up to 10 controller buttons in Game Properties/Gamepad.


Is there a way to set bindings for MORE than 10 controller buttons?  Specifically, I need 16 controller buttons.

this is possible only with scripts, and the script has to know the hardware - there are scripts for full keyboard because everyone has the same keyboard hardware.


If you want to use a special game controller you need to find someone who can program a control script for that.

Ok, hmm.... Let me be more specific, because I reeeally don't want to have to rely on Joy2Key if I can help it.


I'm trying to use PS2 Buzz Controllers for a thing.  Windows reads the set of 4 Buzz Controllers as a single controller with 20 buttons.  The main big buttons are designated Button 1, Button 6, Button 11, and Button 16.


When I map Buttons 1 and 6 in the F1 menu, the first two controllers work perfectly, but I can't seem to do anything with the second two.


So, since I'm gonna wager a script doesn't exist for Buzz Controllers, can anyone think of a possible workaround?

I'll see what I can do. I happen to have a set of Buzz controllers, so I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, I suggest downloading Gamepad Extender by Lone Wolf as my script will most likely require that. If you want, try to experiment and see what buttons on the buzz controllers trigger which input triggers. This will require a bit of test scripting, so I suggest testing in a new project.


I tried making a script, but it doesn't work. If the buzzers did have an xInput driver, I would be able to do something, but they don't. Sorry, but you may need to use Joy2Key unless I can figure something else out.

That won't work. I've already tried. Buzz controllers don't run through XInput, therefore Gamepad Extender won't work. I'm pretty sure that they do run through DirectInput, however, so if there is something like Gamepad Extender that runs through DirectInput instead of XInput (which is unlikely because XInput is the replacement for DirectInput), we could do something with that.
