Mother 3 Status Style Help!

Basically, this script edits the battle system to mimic the Mother 3 battle system. This is great and just what I needed, but...

In battle, the actor's character pops up in battle like that, and I would like to remove it.

Mainly because this happens at the beginning of each turn:
That is it. Can somebody help me, please?

this happens at the beginning of each turn
That is not the behaviour of the script for each turn. I did find it did that at the beginning of the battle, but otherwise the only problem with the default script is a dispose error for me.
If you put the script into a new project, does the problem stay?

Can indeed confirm that putting just this script into a new project keeps the problem.

It seems to be fine after the beginning of the battle. Anyways, my point was that I was trying to remove the characters from appearing on screen. What can I do to successfully do that?

Comment out lines 807, 858 and 870.
set line 654 to false
But it seemed to go slow so I would also try commenting out lines 512 to 518.

Thank you so much! I did what you suggested, and I commented out some other things that also cause a problem and it had worked! Again, thank you!

EDIT: On second thought, in battle, if an actor attempts to attack in battle, I get this error:

line 883: NoMethodError occurred.

undefined method ‘width’ for nil:NilClass

In the script for me, that line would be:

w = self.bitmap.width / 3

What’s going on?

If you commented out all those lines then this should not happen. If you missed one this will happen.
The lines to remove are relating to update_rect.
If they are commented out then the method is not called and then it will never go to that section and give you an error.
