Move Route Not Working

Hello. I am very new to rpg maker. Im making an intro cut scene to my game, in this cutscene there is a character in the middle talking to another character. After a big of text the character being talked to (Akash) turns to the left waits for 30 frames then turns to the right twice then waits 30 frames then goes left bringing him back to the position he was at before. Its supposed to look like Akash is looking around. I used a set move route command to do this but when I put everything in Akash only moves to the left once. Could someone tell me what im doing wrong? I have tried many things to fix this and its getting a little frustrating. PS the character in the middle is the one who is talking to Akash the character near the bottom. The Akash at the very bottom is transperant because thats the playable main character but this is a cutscene so im using a lookalike for the cutscene.

Tech Support is for when you have trouble getting the engines to run.  When you need help getting an event to work properly, the Support forum for the engine you're using is the place to post.


You don't need to use an event to represent the player.  Just use the player.  If your cutscene event is set to autorun, the player won't be able to move until it's over.


That's not going to stop the problem though.  And I don't really see anything wrong with your event, unless something has caused the player or another empty event to go to the next tile Akash is meant to move to.  Events won't move onto tiles where there are other events, unless one of them is set to Through.


I suggest you get rid of the event and use the player directly.  If that doesn't fix the problem, look at the other events (as well as common events) to see if any of those are trying to change the move route.

a move route can only move an event (or the player) if either the map position is passable or if the event/player has "through on". Which means it needs tiles that are passable to move on, your map screenshot doesn't contain any tiles

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
