Ok, I'm back again, this time with a problem related to movable platforms.
As you can see in the picture below, I have two platforms (The red and blue pentagrams) and two different sets of buttons. (The red and blue buttons.)
the puzzle mechanic, as i intend, is set up so that when the player steps on the red buttons, the red pentagram platform will move in that direction. as this photo indicates:
and along side that, when the player steps on the blue button, whichever direction he approached the button from, is the direction the platform will move. again, indicated by the below photo:
These platforms are set up so that the player can move them around via the buttons to make platforms across the pit. however, two problems occur. first off, the platforms will not move when i press the buttons unless the platforms are set to "through". so i need help setting it up so that the platforms can move around without "through" being on. because if it is on, this occurs:
as you can see, the platform has been moved onto the land. this CANNOT happen. it ruins the puzzle. :c
and lastly, i have one other problem, it is impossible for the player to walk across the platforms whenever they are in place.
P.S. the platforms need to move square by square, not in a regular "timed" pattern.
as always, thanks in advance!
