Hi Friends!

I do love the MIDI sound of the OG XP tunes as well, but that fidelity does not always go together with the more modern sound formats you'll find with other RTP resources or DLCs. Plus, it's way too fun to arrange these MIDIs with some of my flair (thicc strings) and to master older tunes in HD instruments.

RTP fatigue does happen, but XP really does have some amazing tracks and I hope to make some old favorites feel a bit new again.

I'm opening this thread with Dungeon #1 but I'd love to hear suggestions if you all have some faves you'd like to see me do.

Terms - These are big on purpose.

1. You must own RPG Maker XP to use this audio track. Resources I upload to this thread can be used in any maker as long as you own a copy of XP.

2. All rights reserved to Komodo and Gotcha Gotcha Games. You may credit me as the arranger (Ms Littlefish or Meg Murphy) if you wish, but as far as like actual...law (?) stuff... ya good. While I've done more than lay instruments over the MIDI, this is purely derivative of existing work.

@kyonides Yeah, it went through a few re-works and edits today, wasn’t mixed yet either, but I’m a lot happier with it now.

Err... Dungeon05 or... Dungeon06, Dungeon07 and Dungeon08, I guess.

If I had a totally free choice of which dungeon track to rework next, I'd go for dungeon #2. There's something about the way the layering and rhythms work in that track which I think sets it apart.

This was definitely going to become the problem for me. Too many good choices. I'd love to practice some faster, brassier tracks since I'm decidedly already best at slow stringy stuff. I'm going with @Kes 's Dungeon #2 for the tempo and my pick will be Theme #1 for the brass.

Before moving onto the recommendations I decided on a quick one-day make with Slow #5 since it's a solo harp. 'Cause not gonna lie, I'm gonna be having mimosa's on a boat tomorrow so recovery is TBD.

I heavily reduced the rubato in this one. I found the original tempo map a little jarring.

I think you're right, but it's been quite a while since I was a mod, so I could be misremembering.
