I'd like to use multiple fonts in my game. I have a flashier font I'd like to use for skill names, character names, menu commands and class names. But I want my default font to be used in the descriptions and anywhere else where there's a bit more text the player has to read. This all for the sake of readability obviously.

I was sure there was a way to do this but now that I started looking I can't seem to find/remember what the solution was. For a while there I thought Yanfly's message core had a solution but... I can't see it.

I've looked at that one but while it seems to help you load more fonts into memory, I can't see any commands or script calls that actually calls on those fonts?

In the video, Yanfly seems to have activated it with text codes:

I saw that too but it doesn’t seem to be useable in the menu though.

What if you made your flashy font the default font and then use the text codes to show the normal font when needed?

Hm, yeah that's a workaround that could work. I'd have to try and see. It would mean everything in the menu's will be in the flashy font which is mostly okay (if I'm able to use text codes to change the descriptions that is. I'll have to try and see).

And well, it's not really optimal since I have to change the font in every dialoge box which will add to development but if there isn't a better way, I'll try it out, thanks.

If you use Yanfly's message core as well, I think it allows you to change the font used in the message window which would decrease the amount of development needed.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
