We should totally all get together and do a track with live instruments. That'd pretty awesome.

Lets do it with a live stream! =), i also play the classical guitar
that'd be great but it'd be a nightmare to organize, hell it's hard to organize a band with guys that live within a hour of each other in my experience. Everyone recording themselves separate in their own time and then bringing it together. I'm dreaming big here but i think it'd be great.

Classical guitar = win. Im a acoustic/electric player myself

I dare the people who take part to make something for Restaff, it hasn't had a collaborative track since I still had time to do it and this idea sounds like it could be very cool if done well.  Just a suggestion :)

I love the idea of piecing together a track from all acoustic instruments. I play trumpet myself and have always loved playing in musical groups. I give this idea a thumbs up!

I play guitar, bass, drums, and (very very bad) keyboard.  I have access to Cakewalk Music Creator versions 2-6, Audacity, and could PROBABLY book a session with ProTools if I had to.

Relevant information for anyone wanting to work with me:

I have played bass for 15 years, and am pretty damn good at it.  I don't usually toot my own horn, but I kick ass on bass.  It's just a FACT./Obi-Wan (from Star Wars III: A Lost Hope).  I've played guitar for 13, and am pretty alright.  I don't play fast anymore though.  Broke my hands and whatnot.  I've played drums for 8 years, and have not yet mastered double-bassing LIVE.  However, I'm quite capable of overdubbing if required.

I've also got a crapload of gear:

Vox V241 Bulldog (Main Studio Guitar)

Ibanez AK-95D (main stage guitar)

Ibanez RG-350DX (backup stage guitar)

Ibanez ICX-120 Iceman (main drop D guitar)

Lyon Strat Copy (backup to ALL the others)

Aria acoustic guitar

Maestro parlor guitar

Fender MiM P-Bass with '61 Reissue Pickups

Rogue LX205B II 5-String Bass

GTX 300 5-String bass

Custom fretless/headstockless bass (from a luthier in Australia)

Ibanez UKS10 Ukulele

Yamaha YDD-60 Drumpad

Fender Frontman 65R

Vox Pathfinder 15R

Crate BX-15

Many Boss, Ibanez, Akai, and Vox effects

Boss RC-50 Loop Station

Blue BALL mic

Blue Eyeball 2.0 USB mic

Musician's Gear crappy XLR mic

---

So yeah.  I'm not ALWAYS available, but you tell me what it is you want done, I can make it happen.

Heh... You would....Welcome back by the way, man. :)

We'd need some kind of metronome so we could all keep in perfect time, too!

Thanks kindly, I'll be around on and off for a few months as I work on my next project--then back to the shadows, lurking...  Like Book's hair.

As to the metronome, there's virtually no way to overcome lag issues.  I assumed we'd be recording parts and sending them to one place for mixing and/or mastering.  No way to do it live.  I've tried with Google Hangouts to jam with my (former vocalist) best mate, but that...  It didn't end so very well.  We were just fractions of seconds off, and it built up, and soon he was a whole measure ahead of me or viceversa.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
