I'm making a puzzle game, and I would like to have sprites of a coin and an acorn, MV RTP style.
They would be positioned on the ground, and spinning, like in collectaphon games.

The coin: a golden coin, spining with a 3 step animation.
The front view having a number 1 on it,
the back view having a picture of a puzzle piece on it, something like this, but rotated to be horizontally,
and a side view.
The event's stepping animation would make it appear to be rotating.

Also an acorn, having a 3-frame spinning animation. Maybe something similar to this image.

There's no need for a walking animation for either of these sprites, so they can use the same sprite sheet.

Well I'm not really much of a sprite creator... but I've attempted to create your coin sprite. :)

...the puzzle piece didn't really turn out the way I wanted.

The first 3 are the same but have slightly different shadows.
The 4th... a spinning neon ring also just because. :p:thumbsup-right:

Sorry not sure about how to make an acorn...

The front and side views are nice, but the puzzle piece, yeah, didn't work out to well.
Probably to hard to make one on a small sprite?

Maybe let's try something more simple, like a smiley face, or a sun.

Thoughts?

Still no clue about the acorn though... :dizzy:

Edit:
My attempt at the acorn:

Lol... it's pretty much pseduo 3d (2d-3d)

As I've mentioned I'm not really that great of a spriter, therefore these definitely are not 100% MV style.

If anyone else reading this would like to create their own I'd love to see them.

Don't have a chance to test it out today, but that coin looks very nice. Thank you!

As for an acorn sprite, I guess somebody else could take that.

48x48 then.
The actual frame size is 48x48.
The image in each frame is the dimensions I was specifying above. B)

Figured coins wouldn't be as big as the player... but I could do that also.

Don't have a chance to test it out today, but that coin looks very nice. Thank you!
Your most welcome! Glad to help out.
Thanks for the challenge.

Ok sounds good. Let me know how it works for you. :):thumbsup-right:

Yeah mine is not the best, I'm sure someone else could do better.
