This is not a display driver issue.

MV works fine, but sometimes after I've been in another application for a while, the editor screen will turn white.  The window title is still there, along with the minimize/maximize/restore/close buttons.  But the rest of the window is white.

I have to close the editor and relaunch to fix it.  Don't need to resort to task manager or rebooting - the close button works fine.

Edit: just discovered, if I've previously made changes and haven't saved, clicking the close button will cause it to prompt me to save my changes.  I don't recall if I still had the database window open or had closed it and gone back to the map at that state.  Might be worth testing further.

I assume you are on windows. Try running it in compatibility modes 7 or XP, if you're on windows 8+. It's also possible something like steam overlay or voice com program is messing with it by drawing on the screen.

Also curious if it's an exceptionally large game you're working on - I'm not familiar with if that translates to the editor using more memory which itself might not be able to handle...

I am on Windows 10.  My previous laptop was also Windows 10 and never had this problem.  I'm running the standalone version and I've never heard of voice com programs.  It is a tiny game - 5 maps with no more than 10 events on each map.

Interesting. Well, I suggest you try Compatibility mode.

Do the following on your RMMV desktop shortcut (or exe):

Right click -> Properties -> Compatibility tab -> Check box "Run in compatibility mode for" -> Choose any windows 7 option in the drop down menu. -> Apply and close.

Doing this has no negative effects and may help the problem.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
