OneShot does this, but that's on XP, and it uses every item. The plugin would have to only transition into the menu when selecting the Rune Bottle item, or else everyone would be confused about fusing potions and every other item.

Since not everyone is intimately familiar with how Tales games work, you should probably first describe how the system actually works.

My bad!

In the 'Tales of' series, there are items called Rune Bottles, which you can use to modify an item.
When you select a Rune Bottle from the inventory, some items (The ones that can be modified) Turn a shade of green, while others remain white.
Upon selecting one, it changes.
In most games, Rune Bottles can either:
A) Upgrade a healing item to its stronger variant (30% HP recovery item changes into a 60% HP recovery item)
B) Reveal scrolls (More often than not, you find objects called '? Armor' or '? Weapon', and upon contact with a Rune Bottle, they reveal themselves)
C) Make an item its opposite (Turning ice rings or dresses into their fiery variant)

I think it's a really creative mechanic, even for its time (Late 90's) And I wanted to know if I could implement it into the game I am making.

You can repurpose almost any item salvage plugin to do this.
The only thing is you'd need one that can require and spend an item to work.
Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
