So I followed a tutorial from a video and set the grid size to 48 but it doesn't fit exactly. Even the map, I multiply the height and width by 48 and it's completely out of size. How do I get this right?

what's your engine?
do your image taken from editor?
or using plugin?

in MZ some people said that the editor can save map as image BUT when the map is too big it will downscale the map to 50% (24x24 grid)... if you're using MZ use plugin instead for your mapshot. like this one:

I'm using MV, and the map is taken from print screen because it always messes up when snipping. No plugins are used. Maybe my map is too big(47 x 44). Seems like even brush is not working accordingly as the tutorials. But how can you do parallax mapping on a map that is big?

@Kou123 print screen NEVER work in MV or any engine, if you want to print shot
your map, use Orange Mapshot which take full map sized as resolution and
will always fit the 48x48 grid this way.

like shadow dragon said above... print screen is not a good option in doing mapshot... because it capture what your 'screen resolution' at... and Orange Mapshot is made by the same author as the MZ plugin i tell you earlier so it will be good one to use for mapshot.

also glad it work out... happy parallax mapping :D.

Since this seems less to be an issue with Photoshop, I'm moving this to MV Support.

I'm moving on from RMXP finally. I've been stuck in a difficult decision between XP and MZ, and I've given up and moved on to MZ. Overall I'm really liking it, I wish tilesets were easier to setup like XP, but it's actually not that bad!
Have you ever gone full 'Ship of Theseus' while frankenspriting? Because I just did.

I've been using a modified version of a script called Multiple Messages. It makes my text boxes look like a Mario & Luigi game! There is something about it that bothers me a little bit, but I shouldn't worry about that now.

Side note, Mist's walking animation is almost perfectly in sync with Loose Yourself by Eminem.
Starting work on some stuff for the community. Hopefully it will be fun, and useful to somebody.
