MV Sidescrolling Plugins?

Hi there,

I'm looking for something that will let me turn MV into a 2D sidescroller like good ol' Mario. Just without the jumping. A few other things too.

Breakdown of what I need:

• Sidescroller, prevents movement up or down except as a command to enter buildings or change map instances. It doesn't need jumping functions, it's not a platformer.
• Unusual sprite sizes. The sprites I want are far taller than regular MV sprites.
• Extended walk cycles. With larger sprites, I need more frames to make them move naturally.
• Character selection screen at start which you can flick between different images. When selected, shows information text. When selected again, gives a promt to continue with that character.

If anyone knows where I can get any parts of this almighty plugnin, please direct me as I have had no luck. If you can code this yourself, please let me know.

@lazygout This isn't the right place to try to commission something, you would need to post it in the Classifieds section. However, you need at least 30 posts before you can see that section (this post explains why). If you want to see if someone can make this or point you in the direction of a plugin that may help for free, you can post in the JS Plugin Request section.

Edit: Though looking at what you need, some of it wouldn't require plugins. You can have taller sprites without a plugin, and if you don't need jumping then having a sidescroller effect could be done just by limiting where the player can walk.

Yeah, I don't think you need to pay someone to do this, unless there is something specific you are wanting that just is not available. There is tutorial that may help - though I've not watched it.
