MV Took Sakan can't save

I've encountered a strange technical problem that I'm not sure how to fix. I am using the Sakan RPG Maker MV Tile Set Editor and recently, after creating a custom tile for my game, I clicked the save button and nothing happened. No pop up window appeared that would allow me to save to the tile set folder. I attempted to fix this problem by removing and reinstalling RPG Maker MV. I also checked for updates, but was unable to find any. This seems to be a problem with Sakan, in general, not the specific project that I'm working on as I'm having the same problem in multiple projects. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Are you using the steam version or the standalone version? There are a few differences that might cause the reinstallation to fail depending on which version you're using.

If the steam download cache is corrupted, all tries to verify files or reinstall a program will fail without error message. And depending on how much you work with steam the cache gets damaged randomly one or two times per year.

I suggest you go to the steam client help, there is a button to clear and repair the download cache. THEN you deinstall and reinstall the RM including its tools (as managed in the DLC manager) and test again if that repaired the problem.
