MV trial version not working

Hi (from a first timer),
I've just downloaded the MV (for the first time ever) and continued to the trial use, but the screen shown is blank - with no error message. Could anyone help me?

It's possible it's a problem with your graphics card. With Windows 10 there are some graphics card driver issues that cause MV to not work. Try updating your graphics card driver, but if that doesn't work, it might be that your card is possibly too old to run MV.

Update your display driver.
Whitescreen is a known problem caused by too old display drivers

I wonder why this relatively new PC had an outdated graphic driver.

It could be that it used a Microsoft default driver.
MV uses OGL, the free alternative to DirectX. Microsoft will never care to include current OGL drivers because they want you to use DirectX instead.
But DX is Windows only, OGL needed to be used because that is also available on Linux and MacOS.
