Don't know if there's a topic for this already since it wasn't linked in the pinned topic.

Basically, two things I've found difficult when it comes to finding scripts is

1. finding what you want

2. where to find them

Now, the first one's going to be a hard problem regardless (I'm sure a lot of data scientists feel the same way), but the second one is a bit different.

For the second one, you might say "well just look at the master script list" or "look at the forums", but that's a pretty limiting resource despite RMW being one of the larger communities.

In particular, I am focused on non-english communities.

For example, there are some great scripts offered by japanese or spanish or BR communities, but I don't know about them cause I don't look at them, and when I do, it's not easy to figure out anything.

But before we get to the language barrier, I usually don't even know about them.

With the development of MVPlugins website, I think it would be nice to have support for different languages. Perhaps have a way to filter based on language if needed (for example, I can say I only want to see english plugins by default), but the general idea is if I'm feeling adventurous I could go and look at some other plugins whose languages I have no idea about, and maybe I'll run into a video.

We can see that there are japanese devs offering plugins on RMW, so if there was a way to get more people on board, that would probably be useful.

Good news for you...

Do you know japanese ?

Do you know korean ?

We could use you as a translator.

The website was built using i18n files, so, if you can translate into another language, the site WILL be translated too.

Aren't that great news ?

The language barrier'll be reduced at 50%

I'm going under the spanish translation when I finish the site in a presentable manner, Hudell will do the portuguese.

Yes we planned this from the start...

And yes, I'm proud of that :p

Since there is no "bug report thread" here, I'll maybe post this here. So here's my question (and probably a bug).

Why is the very first and the very last plugins in alphabetical order are misplaced? As of the time of this post, the misplaced plugins in master list are ZE - Key Mapper and my very own Autolife.

I can speak Japanese, but I think the most you can do is collect links of Japanese sites detailing what kinds of plugins they have (like searching balloon message plugins and getting a link to a site that has one with a translation of the usage terms in the description or something). Most script authors don't want their scripts to leave their main website so yeah.

Unless you mean having a Japanese version of the site for scripts around the world to be more accessible to the Japanese community... something like that increases the likelihood of Japanese users uploading their own (links to) scripts.

It may have something to do in a part where I put a  ($c <= 'A' || $c >= 'Z') So it uses the next letter wich is of course 'Autolife' and 'Ze - Keyboard'

When I return home I'll fix it

They could just upload a link to their website anyway... So they'll still keep it in one place, but indexed in the site for other people to find them.

One could paste the translated terms in the information block, or even anyone could make an script under its name, with a link and a translated readme than points to the website.

What i mean is that it's unlikely for Japanese scripters to upload their own scripts. The vast majority of them don't speak any English.

Hello. A guy posted this topic on a big italian community (i'm not going to spam it for respect) and we would help with the italian translation. We can count on some reliable scripters that already translated other contents, so we would be happy to be helpful.

Let us know if you're in need of an italian version!

All the static text on the site (meaning all the text except the descriptions, names, tags, etc provided by creators for their plugins) is setup in a way that it gets the text from a text file. We planned this from the beginning of the site so that we can easily have the text translated, and placed into more files for different languages so that the site itself can be translated, and be open to a bigger audience.

I would recommend renaming the "External Link".

Perhaps something like "link to script" so if they have their own website, they can use that.

And perhaps re-order them so that the external link comes first, followed by the upload.

How should people offer translations?

I have fixed this bug myself, and uploaded the fixed files. You should now see that plugins are in alphabetical order :)

I suggest we change the links to "Download" for internal, and "Homepage" for the external links. I suppose homepage may not be the best in all cases, but it's the best I can think of for now.

I wonder if something like Curse Client for plugins is doable, it just compare the plugins in your selected folder with those on its server and if some are updated the client pop up a key to press and download the new plugin.
Of course with personal login and possibility to upload plugins.

Also with a list of downloadable plugin will be nice, where you can sort by autor, type, purpose, etc...and it directly download the plugin in the selected folder.

Then for each plugin a brief description with the updates and a link to the help page/discussion?

I wish i could be able to do stuff like this, maybe some of you can!

Dekita is working on a plugin manager, but that's his project, so I'm not sure how progress is going with that.

EWven if they upload it in japanese an our website supports that language, it would be usefull anyway,

And as I told, anyone could actually upload plugins in the name of a japenese guy and link to the site..

If we can make an universal plugin list that would be awesome...

But well, this will come when time passes of course

Hi FlameTheElf!

We've actually already had an offer for an Italian translation, so we are currently working with them on getting it done. Once it's complete, we will start to get multi-lingual support setup for the site. As we continue to develop the site, unfortunately, some text will change, but we will do our best to make sure that the translations are up to date so that we don't alienate any of our users.

I'm sorry for the late response to your post, I haven't noticed it earlier. I do appreciate your reaching out to me, however, so thank you.

All the best,

~ Zalerinian

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
