My event won't trigger.

Hi everyone! I'm having trouble with a certain event to the point where I really ran out of ideas, so I would really appreciate if some of you could give me a hand on this.

I'm trying to trigger an autorun event that should only start after the player activates a switch called "flee". The thing is, it just doesn't work. I know the activation of this switch is not the issue since other events on different maps work just fine with the same switch, and I also know the event isn't the problem either, because when I tried changing the whole event to a different map, it also worked. It just seems to have a problem with the specific map I want the event to take place in. Is it possible that there are other events interfering with the autorun event? I only have some teleport events in that map and some others that show dialogue.

Other events can only stop this if they're affecting the same switch.
Check if there is something on the map that turns that switch off constantly.

If that doesn't help we need to see the event that is supposed to turn the switch on.

Does it simply freeze? If that's the case, trying setting the Player (and every event affected) to Through On. This is done in the Movement Route command. Oftentimes that's the issue.

Thanks for your answers, guys! I tried checking the whole map, but there's nothing that affects the switch that's supposed to trigger the autorun. It only appears in a certain event. I took screenshots of it, I'm leaving them below.

As for the other reply, it's not like the player gets stuck, it's just nothing happens. You can move normally through the map and interact with other events, but the autorun just won't start. The weird thing is, this is the only map where this happens, because the autorun events I left in other maps work just fine with the same switch.

Autorun events stop all gameplay until they finish. Could your moving event perhaps be an autorun event that's running before your BGM change? If it initiates itself first, it'll continue to repeat, stopping everything else.

. Always start the event by having "self switch A=on" as the first line. Why? Because most of my autoruns, parallel processes, etc. are designed to run once and that's it. So if I forget to add this later, it causes all kinds of silliness and repeats infinitely.

Don't check events manually, search for the switch use in the engine - that will check every event that is where automatically.
That said, if you don't find anything in the events then it might be in your Plugins. Have you configured them correctly? I vaguely remember a few plugin that use switch 24 by default, and in such cases you'll need to reconfigure the Plugins to use different switches and variable, and then name/reserve those switches and variables.
