My Game crashes whenever I launch it!

Hey Guys

I'm going to get right to the point.

Basics:

+Using RPG Maker VX Ace

+I'm running Windows 8

+Only started after I tried to install a script for Side Battle View (BTW Anyone know any GOOD ones that WORK!)

+I have tried uninstalling and re installing - DIDN'T WORK!

+Laptop = HP Envy dv6 intel i7 NVidia GeForce GT 630m 2gb

Ok so I have been creating this game for a while now and I tried to install a script that would let me use battle in side view. After I tried to install that my game stopped working! I would click launch and it would come up with the launch screen and it sits there with black on it until it finally says not responding and crashes! The actual program is fine though!

I have attached my game file to see if anyone could see anything wrong but basically it crashes when you launch it!

No error came up after it crashed and no sign of anything changing. PLEASE HELP ME!

The problem is the script that causes your game to crash. 
Not exactly the program, so there's no use uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Zolo_Skulldu, do not triple or even double post, as this is against the rules. Please edit your previous post if you've got something to add. If you only want to bump your topic, please wait until 72 hours have passed.


Make a brand new project and copy your old stuff in it, that should fix whatever you've messed up in the script sections.

I went ahead and downloaded the project.  It does not crash at launch for me.  Please provide additional information, including screenshots of any and all error messages.  Did you recently add any other resources? (corrupted resources can occasionally cause crashes) Which script was it, specifically that you added right before the crashes started occurring? (it was not included in the project download)  Did you get another crash at any point before installing this script, and have you done extensive playtesting before this script was installed to determine that the script was actually what caused it?  (correlation does not imply causation, this may just be the first time you noticed it)  Do you have plenty of available resources when initiating the playtest?

I know these kinds of issues can be frustrating, but you need to be patient and wait for a response rather than make duplicate threads.  Try to add as much detail as possible when you are reporting an issue, even stuff you might not think is relevant.

While this is not quite the problem i am experiencing, i figured it is close enough to not start a new thread.
 
I picked up the RPG Maker VX Ace during the recent steam sale (as many others currently flooding the forum im sure). After the download, i wanted to fire up the program, but it instantly crashes like so

- Validated files

- disabled steam community overlay

- replaced the mentioned module (RGSS301.dll) with a friends, who can run the application without trouble

- deleted, redownloaded and installed the files again

- executed both steam and the program as an administrator

None of the above fixed the problem, nor did they change the problemdetails.

My OS is Windows 7. I have not altered the program files in any way.
