Aparently Malwarebytes and Windows defender are flagging those files as malware. Is there something that can be done? I heard is pretty common on RPGmaker, but if it keeps happening I asume is something out of my control? Is it worth reahing them to whitelist my files? And if I make an upgrade to my game it may be flagged again?

Thanks

First, very often it is a false positive due to the fact that MV and MZ use webtechnologies for local access, and many programs cannot detect the difference between a local program using local access, and a remote website using local access.

That said, your first step should be to make sure that your computer is not truly infected. Because whitelisting a real virus is a bad idea. Just make a full scan of your computer for that.

Second, the only thing you can do (and should do) is report your program to the company of the warning program as a false positive. They usually check that and handle it with a later update.

If you need to access those files before that update, then you can whitelist them.

So the concept for my Game Jam project is way more than I can complete before the deadline. But I think I found a way to get the core done and make the incomplete parts either not really noticeable or make them a part of the story for now. That sneaky, dastardly Krampus! Then I can complete the rest. Did I mention that this is fun?
