my game keeps coming up with underfined is not a function

i have figured out the plugin or plugins that are causing the problem to of which is the BuffsStatesCore plugin and its extras but do not know how to fix the problem because after a few movements or more it comes up with  TypeError UnderFinend is not a function and stops the game i tried testing the plugins in a new project and it came up with the same error and if i turn off the BuffsStatesCore, StateCategories and VisualStateFXs this does not occur but i have a character that's abilities are based completely off something that i can only do with the help of the BuffSStatesCore. what do i do?

When undefined shows up, it jeansthat something in the script is missing, like a parameter is not defined, but, if it isn't in the script, then the error is in the Howyou set up it

Make sure you have the latest version of MV, that your project is updated to the latest version (this is a manual step) and you have the latest version of all the plugins.  Also make sure they are all in the correct order.  And start a new game - do not try to load a saved game if you have added new plugins since creating the save file.


If you do all of that and it still doesn't help, you need to provide a screenshot of the console log.  Play until you get the error, then hit F8 to open the developer tools, and then go to the console tab and grab a screenshot of it.  Also provide a link to the plugins you believe to be causing the issue, so we can just go and look at them without having to search and hope we get the same version as you.

Please don't use your phone.  It's very hard to read.  Alt + PrintScreen takes a screenshot of the active window and that's all we need.


Did you check the other things I listed?  Make sure your plugins are all in the correct order?

yes i checked the other things and they are all in order i checked twice and where does it store the screenshot cause i don't have a clue if it even took one

It puts it into the clipboard.  You then use an image editing program like Paint.net, GIMP, Photoshop, or in this case even MS Paint would do, and you control-v to paste.  Save it, upload it to photobucket, and put a link into your post.

okay, check the YEP_BuffsStatesCore plugin as well as the YEP_ClassChangeCore plugin.  Just to be on the safe side, I'd replace them with fresh versions, just in case you accidentally made any changes.  I'm pretty sure Yanfly also does checks to make sure required plugins are there and shows you a more readable message if you're missing any, but it might be worth just taking a look through to ensure you've got everything it says you need.

It takes a screenshot into your clipboard - to see and save that, you need to open an image program and paste the screenshot there.


Can you give us a screenshot of your plugin manager window as well? it is a problem caused by your plugins and we need more info to find it.

i did open a image program i open 3 different one none of them said that any thing was even on the clipboard so i just downloaded a screenshot app and took picture with that
