Welcome to the boards!

You'll find a lot of things here to help you get started on making games and a bunch to even play.

Welcome! Best thing to do is find a bunch of tutorials and learn the base engine very well. Then make a couple small, simple games before attempting that full-size RPG you've been thinking about. You'll need that initial knowledge. Good luck with your game making.

Welcome to our community! Glad you decided to join!
"Listen" to what @Frogboy wrote, it is very true. Tutorials are really important, and don't worry about going big at first.
Wish you the best success to all your projects!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
